EU VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) Rules Enter Final Implementation Phase

The European Council has reached unanimous agreement on the implementation timeline for the 'VAT in the Digital Age' (ViDA) regulatory package across all 27 member states.

The rules establish standardized real-time digital reporting based on the European e-invoicing standard (EN 16931) for cross-border B2B supplies, while extending the One-Stop Shop (OSS) portal to eliminate the need for software companies to maintain multiple local VAT registrations across Europe.
