Independent Web Foundation Launches 'Verified Zero-Retention' Certification Standard
The Independent Web Foundation has unveiled an open auditing standard that certifies web applications executing computations 100% client-side with zero data persistence.
The Independent Web Foundation (IWF) announced the debut of its Verified Zero-Retention (VZR) certification program today, creating an open audit framework for web utility applications.
Under the VZR criteria, web portals undergo automated continuous integration scans verifying that no outbound POST requests contain user-submitted input data, that no third-party behavioral analytics run in production, and that all calculations occur strictly in browser memory or sandboxed WebAssembly runtimes.
Luminus was highlighted as an exemplary implementation of the Zero-Retention computing paradigm across its suite of financial, health, and developer calculators.
