Google has rolled out its July 2026 Core Algorithm Update, introducing stricter scoring criteria for Interaction to Next Paint (INP) and cumulative latency across interactive web tools.

Under the new ranking guidance, utility portals, financial calculators, and developer converters that require round-trip server API requests for basic user interactions are being downgraded in organic search results. Conversely, web applications built with local-first, client-side WebAssembly and service workers are seeing major visibility surges.

"Users expect instant feedback when typing or calculating," Google Search documentation noted. "Web architectures that eliminate client-to-server latency loops provide measurably superior user experiences."
