HTTP/3QUICNetworkingWeb PerformanceProtocols
Four years after its formal standardization in RFC 9114, HTTP/3 running over the UDP-based QUIC protocol has reached a critical milestone, serving over 45% of all web requests among the world's top 10,000 domains.
The protocol eliminates TCP head-of-line blocking and allows instant 0-RTT connection resumption on mobile devices transitioning between Wi-Fi and cellular networks, resulting in measurable improvements to Time to First Byte (TTFB) across modern web applications.
