Apple has deployed Safari 20 across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS Sonoma and Sequoia updates, officially graduating its WebGPU implementation from experimental flags into the default browser runtime.

The update brings Safari into complete feature parity with Chromium and Gecko rendering engines, allowing web developers to deploy high-performance client-side shaders, image filters, and neural runtimes to over 1.5 billion Apple mobile and desktop users without requiring polyfills.
